"Fall Dusting", 16x12 original acrylic on canvas by contemporary realistic artist Cheri Clearwater . Framed  in a dark brown 2" wood frame, total dimensions are 18"x 14”. The first dusting of snow came early in Ohio. The red of the late maple that held on to the turned leaves gives perfect contrast to the path in the woods that was frequently used for a bridal path. Cadmium oranges and reds mix with yellows and pinks, giving a reflective light to the trunk of the tree that illuminates pink. The path is in the gray of the season that is coming.  Winter with its overcast gray sky and cold.  But for now we have a rich explosion of color!
